Michael Brown, DCRA Residential Center Manager continues to meet with PRO Mid Atlantic monthly to help members better understand the requirements and get thru the permitting process on the first review.
Last month Michael shared that DCRA will be replacing our beloved Project Docs with a fully integrated NEW system but couldn’t share the details, we will press for details and take a-peek at what’s in the works.
Michael and DCRA are very proud of the new permit wizard and have invested greatly to simply the permit process. We will discuss updates and the current, status/success rate of the wizard. This is where we can help and make a difference. WHO HAS USED THE WIZARD? Please join us and share your experiences and suggestions.
Last month we talked about level 1 and 2 Alterations, this month we will take a look at Additions. What is required and what to expect? How do you present this to DCRA when you submit a permit to get through with no HFC! Are the requirements clearly sated? Sister Agencies? How is the Preliminary Review process working for you? What tips can you share with other designers and contractors about working with DCRA?
We will have the licensing reps join us to review the new online renewal process.
THE DUNK TANK, until you sink him, Michael will take hits. Keep the hits related to process and suggestions please. The final dunk may become the next dunk target!
These virtual discussions will take place each month (until further notice) on the 3rd Thursday at 2pm. All are welcome to attend and contribute.
